FROM YELLOWSTONE BACK HOME TO FLORIDA

We leave Yellowstone and start the journey Southeast toward our home state Florida.

These are some highlights on the return trip.

Little Bighorn and the 7th Cavalry's monument, in a battle with the Sioux and Arapaho.

Custer State Park in the badlands of South Dakota.

Wild burros in the Park!

Is that the donkey whisperer? lol

Wind Cave National Park - Hot Springs, S.D. 140 miles of natural underground caves.

Mt. Rushmore, S.D. created by sculptor Gutzon Borglum with over 400 blasters, carvers, and workers.

Woolly Mammoth site, S.D.

Warning: Never use 85 octane! This is a nation wide scheme out west by fuel companies to get a bigger profit. Your car engine will pay the price! Luckily I read about it online and always used 87.

Downtown Rapid City, S.D.  The Presidents are everywhere!

Nice sword, Teddy!

The Black Hills and the Badlands of South Dakota.

We visit with Ruth's brother, Doug, and his wife , Lynn, in Witchita, Kansas.

Kansans have a great sense of humor, don't they?

In Little Rock, Arkansas, we stop at the Bill Clinton Presidential Library.

A reproduction of the oval office during his presidency. Hard to believe his first term started 21 years ago.

We spend a night in Memphis and fill up on catfish and gumbo before the ride to the sunshine state.

But not before taking a day to visit the home of the "king."

And what a palace!!!

Wrong car, Ruth, the Prius is in the parking lot, lol.

As we arrive back home, we check our trip meter - 8895 miles and over 50miles per gallon!

Thanks to all who shared our trip - in person, and on this blog.
From Ruth and Don - HAPPY TRAILS to you, farewell, and may your journeys be long and prosperous.
